Grave of the fireflies, animation directed by: Isao Takahata
When was the last time that a movie made you cry? Stab you in the heart and makes you sniff the whole hour of watching? It must have made a giant effort from the director and actors of that movie to make you shed tears. But what if the movie is an Animation? Have you ever wondered how an animated film, who makes you laugh, a home of your favorite super hero a place of your never, never land makes you sniff and snuffle in the middle of the story?
Well it does to me after watching “Grave of the Fireflies” produced by studio Ghibli directed and written by Isao Takahata, who in turns created a stunning masterpiece of story telling the horrors of war as experienced by two young soul. Artistically the environment and settings as the story evolves is captivating you almost forgot your watching an animated film, the director often uses symbolism to make the message subtle yet dramatic... Angels and Demons by Dan Brown
I love this book it contains no less than factual Information set in a fictional capsule. The style of the author is subtle yet pounding. Knocks you out.
with historical information but not sounding like an Encyclopedia, if you happen to be a person who would like to check some information contained in this book you’ll be amazed how factual most of his information are, makes you think if this things actually took place in certain period of time.
as to most of us who regards history as a thing of the past notwithstanding the implications to our present lives, Dan brown tries to awaken us to what really behind the walls of Vatican, and the so called "Men of God".
the thrilling story is worth reading again and again, but personally I’ve made a second look behind the story the author wrote, holy inquisition, church history, papal creed, etc. makes me think "do I have to entrust my soul to a religion whose both hands full of blood of the innocents?"
after reading these and the Da Vinci code makes me a lot more skeptical, I think ill search more and more of the truth as Dan brown leads a small opening on the door.
great book, thrilling story, and a disturbing truth.
